Unlock New Possibilities with “VR Connection“
An innovative program using Virtual Reality to help children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop essential social and life skills in a safe, supportive environment.

What is VR Connection?
VR Connection is a research project I am conducting in partnership with Tea & Empathy Counseling, LLC, designed for children and adolescents (ages 7-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In partnership with oVRcome and funded by the Virginia Counselors Association Foundation (VCAF), we use immersive Virtual Reality simulations to create a safe, engaging space for participants to practice and enhance social communication, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.

Our Goal
Our primary goal is to empower participants by building their confidence and reducing social anxiety. By simulating real-world scenarios in a controlled, low-pressure environment, we aim to help them generalize these newly acquired skills to their everyday lives, fostering greater independence and more meaningful social connections.
What to Expect During Sessions
During the program, your child will participate in 2 to 4 individual counseling sessions, each lasting 45-60 minutes. These sessions combine traditional counseling with cutting-edge VR technology to create a powerful learning experience.
- One-on-One Guidance: Each session is a private interaction with me, ensuring your child receives personalized attention and support in a comfortable setting.
- Immersive Scenarios: We use VR to simulate real-world situations, allowing your child to practice social skills, emotional regulation, and daily tasks in a safe, controlled environment.
- Progressive Learning: Sessions are structured to build skills step-by-step, from basic introductions to more complex social interactions, ensuring your child builds confidence along the way
